1.8 miles of Main Street, 100 entries, hundreds of volunteers, tens of thousands of spectators—all adds up to an amazing summer-time tradition!  Join us for the Parade.

The 65th annual Grand Parade will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. It begins at 1500 South Main Street and proceeds north on Main Street to 400 North, then west to 100 West.

You may begin saving your spot along the parade route at 7 AM the day of the parade. Before that time no chairs, ropes, blankets, or other personal items may be left unattended. Overnight camping along the parade route is not permitted (see City Ordinance 13-2-114). The route runs north along Bountiful Main Street from 1500 South to 400 North.

Local Business Impact

Vasa Fitness, The Eye Institute and Renaissance Center will close at 3:30 on Friday July 20th, in preparation for the Handcart Days Parade.  Wells Fargo Bank will be open during regular business hours that day, but for walk up customers only after 3:30.

Participation

Participation in the parade is subject to approval of the parade committee and subject to parade regulations.

In mid-July, a list of entries will be posted on this website showing each entry’s number in the parade and a map showing where to line up on the day of the parade. There will be no materials mailed to parade entries unless they have notified the committee that a physical mailing is necessary.

All participants in the parade are responsible for bringing their own drinking water.
