Dance in the Park

Be sure to come to the park after the parade for a taste of pioneer dancing!!!  Mike Cottle, a music professor from the University of Utah, will be there to teach and call the steps, accompanied by a live band.  Leapin’ Lulu is a FABULOUS neo-traditional Irish folk band that has come all the way from Logan to help us do-si-do, allemande left, and promenade around the park.

Meet at the stage promptly at 8:00 so you don’t miss out on a single beat.  We will finish by 9:00 so that you can get to the fireworks.  Come learn how to dance the way your ancestors did.  That’s at 8:00 p.m. by the stage at the Bountiful City Park for pioneer dancing.  It’s free!!!  It’s fun!!!  It’s our heritage!!!

Pioneer Village

More activities and games will be available in the Pioneer Village this year.   In addition, there are incentives for participating.  Kids can get a Passport for the Pioneer Village games and activities at the Handcarts.  They can then get their passport stamped by playing Pioneer Games, or participating in activities at the Mountain Man, Indian, or Handcart areas.  When they get four stamps, they can return to the Handcarts and receive a prize!

Entertainment Schedule

Enjoy great entertainment under the canopy by the stage at the Bountiful City Park.
